Safari says I’m about to clear more tabs than I am aware of having open when I clear history and website data I have noticed since iPadOS 17 that when I clear history and website data it gives a timeframe option and a clear tabs option along with telling me how many tabs will be closed before it clears. The number of tabs it says it will close is always more than the number of tabs I am aware of having open. Right now, for instance, I am aware of having just this one tab open as I write this, but I can go to clear history and website in settings, as I just did, it says “This will close your 2 tabs.” Prior to my recent clear I had 1 tab open, that I was aware of, and it said it was going to close 9 tabs. I have no idea where they could be. 1 may have been a private tab, but it would be 1 maximum. How could I have 9 tabs open that I am unaware of? Where can they be? How can I access them? Is anyone else using tabs on my account? Am I part of a bot-net somehow? Does anyone at Apple have answers? Because no matter how many times I clear history, anytime I open safari and go to a single site it says I have two tabs open if I go to clear it again. iPad Pro, iPadOS 17 Posted on Jan 20, 2024 5:38 PM Posted on Jan 20, 2024 7:25 PM I don’t have other tab groups or private tabs open. I cleared my history and had it clear all tabs, then opened safari, went to one site, went back into settings and went to clear history again and it says it’s going to clear 2 tabs. I want to know where this second tab is. Is it a glitch? Is safari opening a hidden tab somewhere else that I can’t access? Is my iPad cloned somehow and everything I do opens up on someone else’s machine? It’s freaky to see and just makes me feel like my iPad is not secure! I don’t know if you’ve tried it on your iPad but go to clear your history and website data and when that window pops up for timeframe and tabs see how many tabs it’s saying you’re about to close and see if that matches up to how many you think you have open. Congratulations, problem solved! This is because you have disabled Optimus, as G-Sync is only linked to your Nvidia graphics (and of course the capability of your laptop display too).If you notice, we did not have any need to go to your system's Device Manager to disable your intel graphics, which others have suggested on other forums. That suggestion did nothing for me, instead it said your display is not attached to any graphics adapter. Laptops with Optimus technology behave differently and have different ways to fix an issue. To be honest, there is no issue with the laptop in the first place. It's just how it is. For the ASUS ROG laptop with Optimus technology, in order to switch to Discrete Graphics and enable G-SYNC, my suggestion is the way. Hope this clears up everything for everybody and solves your problem (although it is not a problem with your laptop but you just need to know how

Safari tabs reappearing after closing and then disappearing when left open The tabs in safari on my iPhone initially were reappearing after I had closed them. This went on for a few weeks. It was annoying, but I just kept closing them until they finally didn’t come back again. But then yesterday, my tabs began disappearing when I had left them open. I leave them open so I can go back and reference them. It’s only a few tabs, but it feels like my phone is gaslighting me. iPhone XS Posted on Mar 25, 2022 7:53 PM Posted on Mar 27, 2022 7:13 AM Amberzepeda,Thank you for those details. What is your exact iOS version? Also, do you use Safari on any other devices? Good Luck! Similar questions Safari tabs disappear on iPad Since the last update (iOS 13.3.1), I’ve noticed that if I press too hard on a link in an email, it opens that link in Safari but closes all other open tabs. I can’t just go into recent searches to find the tabs again since most of the tabs have been open for some time, and the search has too many other tabs that I opened and then closed myself. These were tabs that I wanted to follow up on, and now they’re all gone! This happens to me at least every other week or so, so it is very frustrating. As a writer of a certain age, I’ve lived a lot of life in Google Docs. It’s where my first drafts go, but it’s also where my crazy ideas, unhinged brainstorming, and research dumps go.There’s so many conveniences about Google Docs that make it my go-to for word processing, but let’s be honest: It’s still fairly barebones, especially when it comes to organizing and managing different files within Google Drive. But this new feature makes all of that much easier, keeping it all contained all within Docs itself. It’s called Document Tabs, which you may have already noticed floating just to the left of your document.GoogleThe idea is simple: It lets you create multiple documents within a single Docs file. Create as many “tabs” or separate documents as a single project might need, and switch between them extremely fast. That accessibility to them is really where the gold is. No more switching between different browser tabs. It’s even more handy on mobile, of course, where switching applications or tabs is even more cumbersome. Here, you’ll find Document Tabs hovering just at the bottom of the screen with some simple arrows to flip between your different tabs. All we need now is a simple gesture to be added to flip between them even more seamlessly.Document Tabs takes the place of the old outlining system, which would grab headers and automatically create a table of contents around them. I used this frequently, but it was pretty finicky. More than that, it resulted in overly long documents that I still found myself scrolling through.Document Tabs is a really elegant solution to that problem. Whether it’s segmenting chapters in a book, multiple aspects of a project, or even just different parts of an article, it’s already become an extremely useful outlining and productivity tool for me.It even had a pretty clean way of converting the tabs when you need to export. All the tabs do is combine down into one document, but they’re sectioned off with titles and some basic formatting. That’s not going to be ideal in every situation, of course, so it’s something to

James historytimeline.com: Does not work. (2021-11-22) Matt Stilwell: The extension installs just fine. I changed the background colour to make it more pleasing to the eyes, but now when I try to go to the settings page, I am unable to use the Advanced options or the design section where I had been before to change the background colour. (2021-09-25) Terry Hutson: works great--I have never had a problem seeing the menu bar. I used this product for over five years now. (2021-08-09) Olia Devos: I did install it but I see no bar at all. It is on as well in extantions. So what is up actually? (2021-07-27) iiHealthy: it still works fine in 2021. pretty good extension although there is a bit of a delay when loading (2021-07-24) Mikel Kasaboff: Not exactly sure if you can actually call it a bar, it's not what I thought it was. (2021-06-28) Jim Ferrier: Rubbish. No menu bar appeared. Wasted time. (2021-06-11) David Bouchard: While it does have the menus, they're all below the other top bars (tabs, search bar, bookmarks) with no apparent way to move it above any of these where it is found in literally everything else. I know Google did this on purpose - because they're jerks - but it belongs above everything else, including the tabs. The extension really needs a way to move the bar up further. (2021-06-10) Craig Orland: I added this to my chrome and edge browsers, but my browser window started glitching when transitioning from one web page to another. The following is a screenshot of what appears for a split second between web pages. I disabled the addon and the glitch went away. VERY annoying. (2021-05-22) Charles Knerr: The chrome-menu button dropdown is not completely themed. The menu choices are split between browser menu bar and google products... can't have both? Or a google menu on the browser menu bar?Note for those complaining about menu missing: It is not possible to properly develop in Chrome... many pages are off-limits. The Gods are jerks. (2021-04-30) Patricia Ann Gonzalez: Chrome really needed this toolbar.
