When did windows 7 stop being supported

The main problem that I see concerning Ryzen processor Motherboards is installing Windows 7.The problem with AM4 Motherboards is USB and Chipset driver support for Windows 7.When it comes to installing Windows 7 on a Ryzen Motherboard you need to use a special method to it. Like use a PS/2 Keyboard and mouse instead of a USB Keyboard and mouse.Most AM4 Motherboards have special instructions or procedures on how to install Windows 7 on the AM4 Motherboards.But once Windows 7 is installed it will work normally as long as there are Windows 7 drivers to install.Like I mentioned before, a CPU is not really dependent on the OS as long as your have the proper drivers that are compatible with the OS you have installed.By the way, both AMD and Intel CPUs doesn't support Windows 7 according to this 4 year old Tech Article: For the time being it seems like Windows 7 is still supported on some APUs and GPUs. But eventually AMD will stop completely making drivers for Windows 7 since it isn't supported by Microsoft anymore with Windows Updates.So if it is possible it is best to upgrade to Windows 10 which you still might be able to do with a valid Windows 7 Key or pay to upgrade to Windows 10. EDIT: You can try using AM3+ Motherboards that still support Windows 7. I had a FX8350 Processor when I upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7.But AM4 processors are much superior to AM3+ processors. Before you purchase a Motherboard find out if it is compatible with Windows 7. Many times it will says it is compatible with so and so OS.

I see when this doesn't work, people get the c0000021a Fatal System Error. What I am using is an image of Windows 7 32-bit Home Premium that was originally Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit RC2. I did the double install trick and made a registry change to allow the retail version to install over the release candidate. This all worked on the original machine. Even when I switched over to a SSD in that machine it all worked, did a Bare Metal Restore from My WHS 2011 box. Even ran with the new hardware, but that's when the Copy Protection problems started. Switched from HDMI back to VGA, seemed to work until I tired to record some races last weekend. Copy Protection came up despite PlayReady being updated and installed. To sort out any other problems, I decided to do a repair install. After it finished, I had to disable IPv6 to get internet and of course that broke HomeGroups, Server Connector and TV Archive. So unless you can come up with an answer, I may have to go with a complete new install. Too many content providers flag stuff so I can't continue like this, never had that problem EVER in three versions of Media Center. Sysprep after deleting the Upgrade key in the registry will run, Generalize Windows (no problems, no errors) and then either on shutdown or reboot, I get this error (c0000021a). I tried the System Repair Console and it found the problem, offered to fix it, I did. Rebooted, this time into Safe Mode, same problem (c0000021a). A Former User last edited by I was following the developer stream of Opera on Windows XP, and the first inkling I got of the dropping of XP support was when my copy of developer 36 did not update to version 37.I suspect that is all that will happen, once 37 comes to the stable stream, those with XP and Vista will just no longer be offered any updates to later major versions of Opera. 36 will continue to work as before of course.Hopefully there will still be occasional security patches for Opera 36, as Opera have said that there will be. suntana last edited by Well, that would work.
