I cannot find a link where to download it. I found a link to 4.3, but it will not host w2k.Questions:1:Where can I get a download of vCenter Converter 4.0.1?2:Will that run from within the current version 5.0.1 of Player or do I need a v4 version of Player? If so, where can I get that from? Thanks 2. VMware Vcenter converter Failed at 98% 1. VMware Vcenter converter Failed at 98% Posted Jul 08, 2012 10:29 PM I am converting a physical Windows Server 2008 running SQL server 2008 to a virtual machine. I have tried the task twice but the conversion fails at 98%. The error in the logs states "Error: Cannot open the destination virtual machine for reconfiguration" & "Error: An error occurred during reconfiguration". There are two drives in the Physical machine C & D. Please see the image below. Can you please suggest any tips on what to do. I really need to convert this physical machine to a Virtual...Thanks. 2. RE: VMware Vcenter converter Failed at 98% Posted Jul 09, 2012 07:15 AM Your conversion is finished. You can try to configure only destination VM with the Converter. HTH 3. RE: VMware Vcenter converter Failed at 98% Posted Jul 09, 2012 07:52 AM As it failed during the reconfigure task, the VM itself should have been created. Could you confirm this? If so, you can try the reconfigure task again using convertor, or power up the VM and see what shape it is in. 4. RE: VMware Vcenter converter Failed at 98% Posted Jul 09, 2012 08:46 AM Yes, try only to reconfig, the fail is because a VM couldn't be opened not because of unrecognized volumes.
