It occasionally creates a blank page, empty pdf file. It worked perfectly for years, but over the last two weeks this issue popped up. I have uninstalled the print to pdf “printer” in “Devices and Printers”. Then added it again. The problem persists. Checked for Windows updates. No change. It only happens occasionally with no detectable pattern. No special characters in the file names.Thank You New 26 Nov 2018 #3 Have already done all of the steps suggested in that link. The problem only happens occasionally; maybe two or three times a day.Happening on several PC's, the only way to catch it before it goes to customers is the size of the file created. If it is 0 or 1kb, it's a blank document.Microsoft Print to pdf was working fine until about two weeks ago.Thank You New 26 Nov 2018 #4 Hi,If the file name of the .pdf that is sent to the printer contains "special characters" i.e. \ / : * ? New 27 Nov 2018 #7 Foxit Reader has got a quite nice PDF printer. You can even customize its output (I prefer lossless compression (zip) over lossy compression (jpeg) for instance). Under MS Print to PDF you cannot change anything and its compression is always JPEG. 5. Lands reviewed v0.6 on Jun 7, 2007 --> This is a great piece of software. Finally a very good alternative to Foxit.Smaller and faster also. YES / NO --> I made it default viewer, and it opens up .PDF files on my computer here (it's still running Windows ME) :) It opens .PDF files on my computer just fine.. But i clicked on the net on some .PDF files..and Adobe is still kicking in .. Let me know please if there is any way to make Sumatra PDF Viewer to open PDF files if click on them when browsing internet with Internet Explorer (i think i am on IE 6.0)Thanks guti reviewed v0.6 on May 1, 2007 The good (or bad) thing about Sumatra (I have v0.5, haven't tried 0.6) is that it allows you to print "protected" PDFs that you can't print with Adobe or Foxit. Coupled with PDFCreator, you can "unprotect" those files ! --> Simple smallware, does what it's designed to do. Could use a few more features, but for 99% of my PDF needs — which is merely reading them — Sumatra PDF is a sensible option. YES / NO --> Ulmo reviewed v0.6 on Apr 30, 2007 --> Ouah !Less than 1 second to load a 10 Mega Bytes PDF.No display bug seen for now.Foxit has finally a challenger :D YES / NO -->The Fine Print - swiftiereadsbooks Flip PDF
Stick materials are excellent for temporary or repositionable artwork, offering a smooth finish suitable for a variety of spaces.Choosing the right material not only brings out the best in your artwork but also allows for versatility in presentation, whether you’re displaying it in a gallery or a personal space.Color Calibration and Profile MatchingColor accuracy is crucial when transitioning from a digital image to print. Using color calibration and matching your image to the correct color profile (like Adobe RGB or sRGB) can help you achieve accurate hues and shades. Without proper calibration, colors may appear different in print, which can be disappointing for artists who rely on specific tones in their work. Working with a calibrated monitor and a professional printer helps ensure consistency between what you see on screen and what appears on canvas, fine art paper, or metal. Preparing Files for PrintFile preparation involves saving your artwork in the right format and resolution for printing. Common formats like JPEG, TIFF, and PDF are ideal, with TIFF providing lossless quality. When saving files, ensure you include crop marks and bleeds if necessary, as these ensure your print is exactly as intended, especially for edge-to-edge prints on canvas or peel and stick wall art.Why Choose Giclee Fine Prints for Your Artistic Needs? At Giclee Fine Prints, we support artists in creating prints that are true to their vision. Our expert team provides advice and guidance on materials and printing processes, ensuring every piece, from fine art paper to metal prints, meets. In Microsoft Project and Publisher, and for e-mails in Outlook 2010, open the files or e-mails and print by selecting the Adobe PDF printer from the Print dialog box.So... according to Adobe, not all functionality from Adobe 9 is missing when used from Office 2010 (just the toolbar). If it's not working for you, then it's indeed an Adobe support issue. The tech with whom you spoke appears to have been in error.Note that several free non-Adobe add-ons for creating PDFs via a printer driver also work fine with Office 2010 and Windows 7. I use PDFCreator and have also used PrimoPDF, and both work fine. So, you do have alternatives if you're not able to get satisfaction from Adobe.Herb Tyson Microsoft Word MVPHerb Tyson Word Bible Blog 4 people found this reply helpful · Was this reply helpful? Thanks for your feedback. The Office 2010 PDF print driver (either save as or save and send) is absolutlely unreliable, at least with fonts that wre not included with Windows (in this case Windows 7, 64 bit). Printing to the Adobe PDF driver works flawlessly (Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro). So, contrary to Herb Tyson, you do need Adobe to create PDF files.John Holecek, Just a simple user. Was this reply helpful?
