I get it. It’s a hassle to keep track of what password goes with what account. Its nearly impossible to simply remember. BUT – Don’t reuse passwords. You have one password to remember to access the manager, and then all logins are secure within this program. I use a little freeware program KeePass to mange passwords all of my personal accounts and clients. I have over 1,000 logins stored in this program. All safe. Clicking "Save" saves the login info and it's still saved through a restart of Opera. (Fresh Opera profile and not using Opera Sync). Test with Google login too.If you've tried with a fresh profile, but enabled Opera Sync before trying, try with a fresh profile without enabling Opera Sync to see if Sync is the cause. Sync can cause all types of problems.Also, goto the URL opera://settings/passwords and make sure "Offer to save passwords" is enabled.Also, in the past, a couple of users said they had problems with Opera not saving passwords and found a fix. Their wifi connection in Windows was marked as public instead of private. Once they switched the connection to "private", things worked fine. For me though, it doesn't matter if my connection is public or private. But, it's something you can try.

Last edited by Hi, a couple of days ago I installed the brand new Opera GX, everything was perfect for the first hour until I closed the browser and logged in again. Passwords were not being saved. I checked the settings and everything seemed to be fine, I only noticed that there was an option selected, which never asked me if I wanted to do it by the way, that the browser asked me to save the passwords, obviously I left it as it was, enabled, and I started to log in again in the pages where I am registered. ... and surprise, I had to enter them all again... so I checked if I had enabled delete history and cookies on closing... obviously, I had not enabled it.... I tried saving the passwords manually, which was a lot of work, and thought, now it will work..... my surprise was that it didn't work.... so I thought, maybe it's the VPN. I disabled it. It was still the same... I uninstalled the program, re-downloaded it, re-installed it, checked in detail that in the configuration there was the option to ask if I wanted to save the password, which it never did, I repeat.... I checked that there was an option to log in automatically in the pages where I am registered, I checked that there was no option to delete history and cookies when closing the browser, I deactivated the VPN and I set out again to save the passwords manually, one by one.... I closed and logged in again.

And you should see it even with that flag disabled.
