Years ago I followed a "Data Detox" recommended by Mozilla that included switching to Firefox (with privacy extensions), DuckDuckGo, deleting old online accounts, and generally trying to back away from Google services. At this point, the only Google services I use are Gmail and YouTube.I like Firefox fine, and DuckDuckGo is alright, but it uses Bing for search on the backend so it's not like it totally redeveloped online search. I still have to try alternatives like Safari and Google search (in a private browsing window) when something is borked. I still use Safari on my iPhone because the iOS Firefox app sucks. #26 Google runs deep, can't even fully get away from it with things like Ecosia.
