2025-04-11Editors’ ReviewDownload.com staffJanuary 20, 2025With SiriusXM Internet Radio, you are given access to thousands of songs and dozens of radio stations without any commercial interruption. This program performs magnificently by quickly downloading media and giving you a truly unique experience with its personalized tools, but this program's steep price may not be worth it for all users.ProsFast performance: Connecting to radio shows is a quick and easy process with this application, and songs stream clearly on Wi-Fi and 4G. Other objects, such as images and new windows, load nearly instantly. The download feature also performed well on our tests, making offline listening a breeze.Awesome content: SiriusXM Internet Radio hosts a large variety of music genres and talk shows, so this is an application for everyone. Hundreds of channels are available depending on your subscription plan, and we found the 30-day free trial to offer more than enough stations.Incredible features: Unlike most other streaming services, SiriusXM Internet Radio gives you the ability to listen to previously aired content. Our tests of the personalized tools, such as sorting for song speed or era, proved that SiriusXM makes accurate suggestions.ConsCumbersome design: The overall feel of this application is somewhat bulky and cluttered. Every object displayed is larger than necessary, making it hard to see important features like the channel lineup.Bottom LineSiriusXM Internet Radio is a one-of-a-kind application and comes free for 30 days, but a normal subscription will cost $14.99 per month. This may be a discouraging factor for those that do not listen to radio that often, but the amount of features given makes it a phenomenal program. Keep in mind that a free alternative like Pandora may be better a option for you if you wish to save money. What’s new in version 7.11.1Fixes the "Checking For Updates" issue Other minor bug
2025-04-10About streaming since we got 5G and disconnected ATT Uverse TV. One- by pressing the little tv icon on the firestick remote (on mine it's next to the + volume key), you can get lots of channels. You should have a 'freevee' icon that is an Amazon product that does the same thing but it's icon based. Two - and this is the important one. You can get local tv by downloading the major channels app... CBS, ABC, NBS, FOX and PBS apps from the Google Play store to your Firestick (or smart tv). They won't play all live tv, but it'll play the news and some programs. Our PBS plays all local tv. Some of these apps even have additional channels that are 'unlocked.' Now some of these apps will unlock all local tv if you have a 'local tv provider'. It's possible that the Hopper fulfills that requirement, but I just don't know. Another free app that I like is Pluto TV. Also if you have SiriusXM in your car, the SiriusXM app allows you to play all their channels on your tv. I can even stream YouTube from my phone or computer directly to the tv.Still learning.... have 6 tvs in our house and 1 in our RV. I use the firesticks for televisions we don't use often. This allows me to have Dish programming at each one WITHOUT paying rent on a Dish receiver for each one, via the Dish Anywhere app. So I just pay rent on the Hopper and a wireless Joey (and the Wally in the RV).Firesticks also allow you to have smart tv capabilities on older tvs that have at least a usb port. Thanks, had no idea I was so behind...... We have 5 TVs in the house connected between coax and splitters and the dish boxes...... The RV we just use the campgrounds cable (coax). This give me more to look into. The boys left home nearly 20 years ago......... And hear I was upset that the Hopper was a charge to me for $10 a month to record shows that I
