Shiv Mahimna Stotra - શિવ મહિમા સ્તોત્ર - Shiv Mahimna Stotra

Shiv Mahimna Stotra is a powerful hymn describing the greatness of Lord Shiva, who is the destroyer of the Worlds. This Stotram was composed by a Gandharva named Pushpadanta. When Puspadanta unknowingly steps on bilva leaves (considered sacred offerings to Lord Shiva) in the garden of King Chitraratha, an infuriated Lord Shiva punishes Pushapadanta by taking off his divine powers. Seeking forgiveness, Pushpadanta composed the Shiv Mahimna stotra in which he elaborates on Lord Shiva’s greatness. A pleased Lord Shiva returns his divine powers. It is said that anyone who recites Shiv Mahimna Stotram with devotion will be blessed with fame, wealth, long life, and good children in this life, and will attain Kailas after death. Initially Vibhishan Krit Hanuman Stotra starts with praise of Shri Hanuman admiring his virtues and tremendous power. Then very wisely, God Hanuman is requested to remove all the diseases, bad health and all sorts of troubles from the life. Further God Hanuman is requested to protect from all sorts of fear, trouble and make us free from all evil things. Finally God Hanuman is requested to give the blessing, success Sound Health and everything we ask from him. Please chant Stotra unbroken for 41 days to get above mentioned benefits. It is said that the name of Shriram was written above Ravana’s brother Vibhishan’s house and Vibhishana worshiped Hanuman ji first to go to the refuge of Rama. IntroductionThe revered Sage Ved Vyas was the composer of the Navagraha Stotra. The nine planets of the solar system play an essential role in the life of humans. Their positioning at the time of our birth is indicative of the quality of our life. The Navagrahas (nine planets) impact our lives through their position and movements therein. They also reflect our past karma and how our past deeds influence our current life. The Navagraha Stotra comprises of nine Mantras (hymns) of the nine planets. The Stotra has been created to nullify the harmful effects or negative energies that emanate from the planets. Reciting or chanting the Navagraha Stotra every day will help remove obstacles and difficulties from our lives. The planets can affect our mental state, physical health, and cause impediments in our lives. When we chant the Stotra with faith and devotion, it reaches the Graha Devta directly. When we synchronize our body vibrations to the light and sound energy emitted by the planets, then we can avail maximum benefit. Through devotion and doing good deeds, we can appease the planets. The Navagraha Stotra is a powerful tool, and chanting the Stotra every day helps reduce any negative impact the relevant planets may have on our birth charts.Shri Navagraha Stotram1) जपाकुसुम संकाशं काश्यपेयं महदद्युतिम् |तमोरिंसर्वपापघ्नं प्रणतोSस्मि दिवाकरम् || १ |Japaa kusumaa Sankasam, Kaasyapeyam Mahaath’ yuthimThamo’urim sarva Paapa ganam Pranathosmi DhiwaakaramSalutations to Surya Deva, the Sun God, the son of Kashyapa, with the radiance of the beautiful hibiscus flower.
