Read siri

Siri will no longer read my texts on my bluetooth headsetI have a iPhone 8 running IOS 15, Siri used to read my incoming texts until one of the software updates now it stopped reading them. Now when I ask Siri to "read the message", she tells me I have to unlock my iPhone first. Why won't Siri read my messages anymore?I checked the below suggestion and all the settings are set as suggested and it still does not work. I am a salesman and this is very important to me. While I am driving I don't want to be fumbling for my phone and lose focus on the road. It used to work and it is a great feature!!!! Any and all help here will be appreciated!!!! From what you have stated, it sounds like you may have Messages previews disabled. Navigate to Settings > Notifications, Messages > and adjust Show Previews to Always. Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. Hi, I have a simple shortcut, that starts with an "show alert" followed by an action "run shortcut" to execute a second shortcut. As long as I run this shortcut on my iPhone from the shortcut menu it works perfectly. I get the alert message and then the second shortcut is started. As soon as I ask Siri to run the shortcut, I just get the alert message and then nothing else happens.
