Also is radLinker good Overclocking program because if i install ATI tool it uninstalls Overdrive which means overdrive tells temperture of card. SO is radlinker good software? OK Rad linkers says clock COre and clock Memory so how much should i clock memory and how much should i clock core for first time just so i dont burn card? SO should i clock memory whats that like 128 mb clocked to like 256 mb? SHould i just clock COre and not memory?Anyways heres a image of Radlinker overclocking software tell me how much i should over clock to where it wont heat up should i just clock extra 5 MHz everytime i raise the clocking? #2 Homie said: Hey i want to overclock but safely so how much should i first overclock to so i dont fry it since im a newbie on this. ChrisW Overclocking The Mobility Radeon 9700To overclock the ATI Mobility Radeon 9700, I used the excellent RadLinkerutility. For those who are not familiar with RadLinker, here's a short descriptionfrom the creator of RadLinker :RadLinker is new tweaker/linker for ATI Radeon based graphics cards.RadLinker features:Absolutely no programs running in the background Does not bloat the registry Per game/program settings Control over process priority Per game/program clock rate settings As many unique game profiles as your computer can hold Custom profiles for all your games RadLinker allows you to create a "RadLink", a special kindof shell link (a.k.a. shortcut) to your games/programs that allows you tochange it's individual settings. A RadLink will look and act just likea normal shortcut except it's property settings can be custom tailored foryour video settings. With RadLinker, all you need to do is adjust the slider and test the stabilityof the GPU and memory chips.Of course, with ATI graphics cards, you don't get neat 1MHz increments. Instead, each step up or down the slider is determined by a Change Increment option. You can access the Change Increment option by clicking on the Advanced button. The Change Increment window will then pop up :The Change Increment slider allows you to adjust the increase in MHz for eachstep up or down the clock speed slider in the main RadLinker window. When youreduce the increment, the maximum rate decreases as well. If you want to overclockmore, then you have to increase the increment.Overclocking ResultsAfter stress-testing the GPU and the memory chips, I managed to overclock theGPU by 15.8% to 515.7MHz.I also managed to get the memory chips to run at 248.4MHz.That is an increase of 15% over the default clock speed used in the BenQ Joybook7000 but unfortunately, it's still 11.6MHz short of the officialmemory clock speed. Looks like BenQ used slower memory chips than were recommendedby ATI. Even at a glance, it'spretty obvious that the overclocked Mobility Radeon 9700 will be starved formemory bandwidth. To find out if that's true, as well as check the actual improvement in performancefrom overclocking, I benchmarked theComments

Because I don't quite understand how this driver's built-in profile manager is supposed to work? I mean, if I want to change settings for some game alone which is already on that list - I CAN'T because then those settings will apply to bunch of other game profiles as well that are somehow using the same profile.. Simply run setup.exe to install the application. This should fix some installation problems and problems with Windows Installer.* Enabled right-click on the desktop to jump straight to the display settings.* Removed desktop control panel settings for Windows 98/ME. Users must use the right-click shortcut to access these settings.* Enabled more desktop display settings for Windows 98/ME.Get it here.3DMark033DMark05 May 21, 2004 2,342 0 19,780 #2 I think I ll wait till it comes integrated in the new omeagas. Very funny, Scotty. Can you use radlinker and CCC together? If memory serves, to use Radlinker you need the non-catalyst advanced control panel, right? Or is there a way to access it without the panel?________________Radeon 9700 PRO (o/c 332/345)AthlonXP 3200+ (Barton 2500+ o/c 400 FSB)3dMark03: 5,354 Advertising Cookies Policies Privacy Term & Conditions Topics
