Thanks for your work on this package! I've been playing with it a bit and exploring the API and have two suggestions related to the setting of the password in genkeys().The first is to suggest exposing the password argument in genkeys(). As currently implemented, it not possible for a user to programmatically generate keys due to the askpass() prompt. openssl::write_pem(key, "id_rsa", password = openssl::askpass(prompt = "Please choose a password for your private key. This password CANNOT be recovered if lost. Please store the password in a safe location.")) You could easily refactor the password prompt intoask_pass and set the default value of password = ask_pass(), allowing users to choose to override the behavior but keeping the default workflow. The second suggestion is that on RStudio the prompt is quite jumbled when displayed. The above refactoring also displays properly in RStudio. Finally, while looking at genkeys() I realized that the key_name arguments aren't called in the write_pem() step, so all keys will be named id_rsa by default regardless of the input to genkeys(). genkeys function(private_key_name = "id_rsa", public_key_name = "id_rsa.pub"){ openssl::write_pem(pubkey, "id_rsa.pub") If you're interested in the above I could quickly work these suggestions into a PR.

I had to change my online banking username and password in response to fraudulent activity. How do I change my banking (checking) username and password within Quicken without losing all historical transaction history? 0 Best Answer John_in_NC Quicken Mac Subscription SuperUser, Mac Beta Beta Howdy to Memphis:Yes, you can update your credentials (password) without losing historical data. But, how you do it depends on how you connect to your bank. (Make a backup of your data file before you make any changes.)If this is a Quicken Connect account, then you can update your password via Window:Account Status, and the option to update your Passwords is accessible via the button at the lower right. If this is a Direct Connect account, then you will have to update it via your Mac's encrypted Keychain. You can find Keychain Access in your Mac's Applications:Utilities folder. There, you can find the key and either edit it or delete it so that it prompts you for your credentials during the next transaction update.Post back if you need more details about the above suggestions, but that is the general overview of how you update credentials for Quicken or Direct Connect accounts. 4 Answers John_in_NC Quicken Mac Subscription SuperUser, Mac Beta Beta Howdy to Memphis:Yes, you can update your credentials (password) without losing historical data. Apple’s macOS is still privileged from a security standpoint, despite gaining increasing attention from cyber crooks as its popularity has grown in recent years. And because of the rise of platform-agnostic threats, such as phishing scams, Mac users have all the more reason to lock down their device before they take it on the Internet.Today we’re going to look at five simple steps that all Mac users – even novices – can take to ensure the integrity of their data and online privacy, as well as the security of their computer. Bitdefender#1 Surf the web with SafariSafari lets you prevent cross-site tracking, limit access to location services, and block all cookies. You can find these settings in the Safari preference pane.A built-in Password Generator can suggest strong passwords for your online accounts, and its anti-phishing component swears to protect you from fraudulent websites.Safari also offers sandboxing protection in its built-in PDF viewer, and Flash Player, Silverlight, QuickTime and Oracle Java plugins.Last but not least, files downloaded using Safari are screened by macOS to determine if they contain executable files. If they do, you can cancel opening/running that program if you suspect it’s not safe to do so.#2 Use iCloud Keychain iCloud Keychain stores your passwords so you don’t have to memorize them all. All you need is a unique, strong, master-password that you use to handle iCloud Keychain.iCloud Keychain grants you instant access to your online accounts and auto-fills your credit card information during checkout. All this behind a 256-bit AES encrypted wall.To set up iCloud Keychain, go to System Preferences -> iCloud -> select Keychain and follow the instructions from there. Bitdefender#3 Disable suggestions for Spotlight and ‘Look Up’It’s not always wise to let your Mac constantly interrogate remote servers. If you have any reason not to fully trust your Internet gateway, you may want to block Spotlight suggestions. To turn off Spotlight Suggestions, go to: Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Spotlight -> Search Results -> deselect “Allow Spotlight Suggestions in Look Up.” In the list of services, also deselect the Spotlight Suggestions checkbox. At this point, Spotlight will onlyEnabling password suggestions in password inputs in
