Posts: 1 hello, every body: now I developed a midi controller device, it's belong to USB audio device. On notebook computer, I use "midi-ox (version : 7.0.0.365 or 7.0.2.372)". the usage condition is : 1) noteboot computers are run "windows xp SP3" or "windows 7 professional". 2) "midi-ox 7.0.0.365 or 7.0.2.372" is use 3) Plug this midi device to USB port of notebook computer On PC device manager, I can see "USB Audio device" is present, this midi device is detect by "windows OS". then I run midi-ox, bug present: 1) in some notebook, midi-ox "Options-->MIDI Devices" can't list the device . 2) in some notebook, midi-ox detect the device, but no midi message ( such as "...90 17 7F....") display. ( I press key on device, it send midi message) 3) both midi-ox version "7.0.0.365" and " 7.0.2.372" have these bugs. these bugs only present in Windows XP , no bug in windows 7. I have a problem, i'm using 2 midi controllers for playing music with traktor. But the one midi controller works on channel 1 and the other also works on channel 1. So this gave me quite a disturbed sound. I searched a bit, and i found that you can change the channel for a midi controller with midiox? I downloaded this program, but i don't yet have found the way to change this exactly. Can someone explain to me how this is done? ps: sorry for my newbie question. So yes, 1 usb from 1 controller IP Logged Peter L Jones Expert Hit it Gender: Posts: 978 That's OK then. You need MIDI OX and MIDI Yoke. Once you have them installed, you'll need to process the input of one controller to with a mapping, outputting to MIDI Yoke. (You could use MIDI OX to merge the two controllers to a single MIDI Yoke but that's a separate matter.) Any application then reads from MIDI Yoke instead of the controller you remapped. In MIDI OX, Options->Data Mapping lets you process incoming messages. When you insert a line, you can change any part of a message. You just want to change the Channel. You could just leave the "When input matches" alone or set the Channel to "1". What you want to do is "Set Output to" with a different channel number. Click OK and you'll see your mapping listed. Before you click OK again, make sure "Turn Map On (after OK)" is checked (on). Then click OK. IP Logged "...Playing fast around the drums is one thing. I assinged (in traktor) like 16 beat phase monitors. So when a beat sounds a couple of lights flash on the beat. just thought it would be cool (it was :p) But that apparently caused the distortion. Agree with this. I replaced both axles, but stuck with ARB because air was already setup.Though I did have a day where my compressor died on a hard trail. Had to be tugged and winched all day. Not likely to happen with an e locker. There is a way to rig your spare as an air source to power an ARB, ask me how I know. #17 considering your dislike for gadgetry, you might prefer a cable operated Ox locker. From what I read here, the cable Ox wasn't well thought out. I have no problems with switches, relays, and solonoids - its touch screens, gratuitous microprocessors, and cell phones that I object to. Wildman Over Analyzer Extraordinaire & Attention Whore #18 All I can comment on is how durable the ARB locker is and as long as you have leak free connections they will work 99% of the time like they are suppose to. I broke teeth off the ring gear and they took out the side cover on the ARB. Yes parts had to be replaced but it still worked after all this. And if there was enough force to break teeth off a Dana 60 ring gear what kind of force was being applied thru the ARB? I had a friend who has them in her TJ and it TOOK MONTHS for Dave at Jeep West before he was finally able to get them adjusted and routed correct to work. And she still has problems with them now and then. #20 considering your dislike for gadgetry, you might prefer a cable operated Ox locker. Ox's lever/cable mechanism is the worst Jeep gadget of all.
