We’ve seen updates to the current Switch with the OLED and Lite models, but it feels like we’re finally close to a proper Switch 2. Genki CEO Eddie Tsai, who again claims to have based the company’s designs on a real Switch 2, also told The Verge there is an optical sensor that could potentially turn the Joy-Cons into something like a computer mouse.Another new addition to the Switch 2 is a mysterious new “C” button on the right Joy-Con. One particularly credible set of leaks comes from Switch accessory manufacturer Mobapad, which revealed some exciting details about what we might expect from the Nintendo Switch 2.The leaks were posted on Mobapad’s Facebook and Billibilli pages, and offer a number of insights into the features that the Switch 2 will be bringing to the table. The leaks seem to confirm that the new console will keep the hybrid nature of the Switch, maintaining a handheld and docked form.One of the more interesting points referred to Joy-Cons which will use an electromagnet to attach to the console, substantiating previous tentative rumors about this feature. The new style Joy-Cons are said to be larger and focus more on ergonomics. The Nintendo Switch 2 is such a highly anticipated console. From the folks at Nintendo, we’ve finally received our first official look at the system this year. It’s been a long time coming, but at the very least, we have some official footage to show off the design and form factor of the upcoming Switch 2. Of course, that footage also gave us a look at the new dock it will come packed with.Nintendo didn’t give us too much of an in-depth look at the console. It was just our first official tease of the system. But that official reveal was a bit dampened down due to the number of leaks that surfaced online prior to it. Because of these leaks, we had a better understanding of the console and its design.Now, a new set of images from a previous credible leaker has surfaced for the dock. Thanks to VGC, we’re finding out that the same source who previously released leaked renderings of the console last year has now provided new renderings of the dock. Again, we have officially looked at the dock, but these renders will give you a little more insight.The images have surfaced on Famiboard and have been published through Imgur.
