What are the benefits of editing multicam with the multicam
Editing in Corel VideoStudioMulticam editing lets you switch between camera angles shot at the same time. It's a feature more associated with pro-level video editors such as Apple Final Cut Pro. You need to select clips first and then enter the separate multicam editing window to get started. The program can align the clips by audio automatically, or use markers or time codes. In my testing, the multicam tool did a good job of syncing up two clips using their audio tracks.I then created an angle-switching video easily by tapping the clip previews in the four-pane source panel. Within the multicam window, you can edit your multicam movie by extending or shortening an angle entry in the top timeline, but once you select OK at the bottom of this window, the multicam is a new clip in your main source panel, and you can no longer adjust sub-clip durations, as you can in other apps, such as PowerDirector.(Credit: Corel/PCMag)Multicam Capture Lite is a tool that lets you capture your PC screen along with input from your webcam. It's a separate app with a Record button and picture settings, but it doesn't create a PiP effect. Rather, it creates multiple clips you can use in the editor. You then use the Multi-Camera Editor feature to switch between the sources or use the PiP tools to get an inset video of yourself talking.(Credit: Corel/PCMag)Multipoint Motion TrackingVideoStudio was the first consumer video editor to include motion tracking, which lets you attach an object,

Nor do I get reliable results when audio synching the first point if there are multiple files per camera, whether they continuously sequential or start and restop.I think that it may be easier to do manual sync in a case of multiple files per camera if you have timecode accurate within a few seconds. Then you can sync by timecode which put the related footage next to each other and then slip individual tracks to get sync to the nearest frame. _________________________________________________DR Studio 17.4.1 Win10Pro 21H1/19043.1320 - i7-6700K@4GHz, 32GB RAM RTX 2070 8GB, "Studio" driver 472.39 OS,Library: 1TB SSD - Project: 1TB SSD - Cache: 1TB NVMe khall187 Posts: 6Joined: Thu Apr 02, 2020 10:12 pm Real Name: Kris Hall Thu Dec 10, 2020 3:22 pm Signed in just to echo the OP frustration. Login Register FAQ Search It is currently Tue Mar 25, 2025 3:09 am Print view Audio tracks from both cameras when creating multicam Message Fri Nov 23, 2018 3:23 am My usual caveat: lifelong Premiere user, new Resolve user trying to do a feature so forgive me if this is a dumb thing or praise me if I am whining about something whine-worthy.I am starting to set up the project for edit, and wanted to take advantage of the multicam feature as we shot many scenes with two cams. We ran the mics into the Ursa Mini Pro and just used the on-cam mic for scratch audio on the Pocket with the intent of syncing later and just using audio from the UMP. I can change clip attributes of all the UMP footage to be two separate mono audio tracks so that when I drag a clip into the timeline it has one mic on one track and the other mic on another. Great. Fantastico. But when I try to create a multicam clip it produces a clip with two video angles (great) and one stereo track of audio that appears to be a mish-mash of the UMP and Pocket audio (garbage-pile-USA). So my question to ye is: is there a way to make a multicam clip and either select which audio tracks get used in the final multicam clip OR is there a way to have all tracks from all source clips make their way into the multicam clip so I can have all the channels to work with independently in the timeline? If not then multicam is useless for me! xunile Website Posts: 3109Joined: Mon Apr 23, 2018 5:21 am Real Name: Eric Eisenmann Fri Nov 23, 2018 7:46 pm Once you have created your multicam clip and in the edit tab, make sure that multicam is selected at the bottom left dropdown of the source viewer. Select the audio only icon, then alt-click the clip with the audio you want to use. That audio will now be used for the whole timeline. Make sure to click the center "video/audio" icon in the middle again before starting to chose your multicam tracks while editing. This version, beefing the up software with editing capabilities as well in both the Titanium and Pro versions. The newly christened MultiCam Capture and Editing makes it a snap to create training videos and other presentations for posting on YouTube or elsewhere. The standalone app allows users to record from up to four sources at once, including the FaceTime HD Camera, your Mac display, and other attached audio or video hardware, which are automatically enabled by default. RoxioNew in Toast 17, capture and edit video from you Mac, webcams, and other sources while recording.MultiCam is easy to set up and use, with familiar Source and Preview windows at the top, multicam and PiP in the center, and timeline across the bottom. There’s even a built-in title maker and multitrack picture-in-picture; users can switch between sources on the fly by pressing the number keys that correspond to each.In addition to live sources, MultiCam also imports image, video, and audio files to use as part of a presentation, and the app does an admirable job of helping get this media synced up alongside everything else. I was disappointed to discover how limited the app’s post-recording skills are—you can’t just record four sources then edit between them, this is really designed for live recordings or adding sources one at a time.As with any new release, there are a few bugs that need squashed. In the case of MultiCam Capture and Editing, I was able to consistently cause the app to crash and log out of my user account by deleting either source screen from my dual-monitor setup. That meant webcams can’t be used as one of the first two sources. Toast 17 also crashes when using non-ASCII characters in a filename, sometimes during a disc burn.Bottom lineThere’s not a whole lot new, but owners of previous versions will need to upgrade ahead of next year’s macOS update anyway, so there’s no reason not to reap the rewards of a 64-bit application right now and get a decent software bundle thrown in as a bonus.. 2025-04-23Space in between. This is very helpful because the editor doesn’t have to manually try to fit a clip into a sequence, which can have devastating results if placed on top of an existing clip. The magnetic timeline works for videos, audio files, and images. Final Cut Pro automatically rearranges your clips on the timeline without interfering with your existing work.3. In-Built Color GradingColor grading is the cornerstone of video editing, and Final Cut Pro takes advantage of the high-resolution screens on Apple products to provide the best color grading features. Most notably, you can color-correct HDR videos with Pro Display XDR to get the maximum brightness and color accuracy on playback. This is very important for professional editors who want their final export to look as close to realistic as possible.Furthermore, Final Cut Pro allows the importation of LUTs (Lookup Tables) and provides a color board that lets you choose any color you need for your footage.4. Storyline and Trackless EditingIn most video-editing software, there are different tracks for the different media types involved. For example, you can find a track for videos that’s separate from the audio one. However, on Final Cut Pro, this system has been abolished. Instead, when you drag a file into the timeline, things automatically fall into their correct lanes. This is very innovative as it allows the editor to keep track of all the elements they add to the storyline they’re working on.5. Collaborative EditingCollaborative editing allows multiple editors to collaborate on the same work from different devices and, sometimes, other video-editing software. The feature is perfect for professional editing teams using a connected network and would like to use other compatible software like LumaForge Jellyfish or PostLab by Hedge. This Final Cut Pro feature even allows remote work, saving time and resources.6. Multicam EditingMulticam editing allows editors to handle multiple footage from multi-camera shoots. For instance, if you shoot a live event with four cameras from different angles, the multicam editing feature syncs them all into a single multicam clip, which makes cutting and editing much faster and easier. Most times, it syncs footage based on the
