Now you can add beautiful faces to those epic screenshots. Only recommended if you're running the latest texture packs and MGE XE as these tend to look a bit jarring in a un-modded Morrowind. Permissions and credits Changelogs Created for May Modathon 2019This is a plugin-less replacer consisting of meshes and textures that replace the original default Morrowind female heads and hairs, including both the Tribunal and Bloodmoon expansions. However, only Morrowind is required. This pack covers Bretons, Dark Elves, High Elves, Imperials, Nords, Redguards, Orcs and Wood Elves. No beast races or vampires yet.:: PREFACE::I always found it interesting how we would enter this beautiful and alien setting known as Morrowind, filled with wonderful architectures, weapons, armor, landscapes and flora along with great re textures to accompany, yet it seemed to me that every NPC fell off the ugly tree, hit all the branches coming downand gnawed on the root. I like most veteran players was very dogmatic in my views about my vanilla NPCs. But as our graphics, shaders, armor, weapons, landscapes and flora got a face lift our NPC’s didn’t. Not once did I look at an NPC and think… “WOW”. Hard to imagine playing the real world game of life without beautiful people. You shouldn’t have to play a fantasy one without them. Here you go, enjoy. :: CREDITS ::- Hair Meshes/Textures by Apachii (Apachii wigs Oblivion Mod)- Hair Meshes by IDKRR (based on Ren's Oblivion Hairs)- Westly for the time consuming port- Hair Meshes/Textures by Ren/Rin/Louis (Oblivion hair for Morrowind)- Kateri for the port and recolored Ren's Oblivion Hairs.- Mandamus for the Redguard hair Meshes and Textures- Head/Ear Meshes by The Original Gangsters Rhedd and Allerleirauh: For several heads- Head Meshes by Ren/Rin/Lous- Head Textures by UQForgotten: Whose Nord heads in this mod is based upon - Harborgolfer for the pale Nord- Westly for ear textures and several hair textures and the redone Redguard ear- Gorg: Ear meshes- Throttle Kitty - Darksharp- Korana for her Nord female texture- Topaz and the AI sofware that allowed me to retexture alot of the standard 256x256 textures.- Finally Mel for her Epic Ladies Textures whose heads most of this mod is based upon. Requirements Permissions and credits Changelogs Donations v.2.010/2016by PeterBittDescription:--------------------------This is a texture replacer that gives Morrowind a watercolored look.Every single texture in the game is covered, making this mod an easy drag and drop replacement for the whole game plus the expansions as well as many mods. Since this mod is based on the original textures everything looks harmonic and consistent, just a bit more stylized to hide the blurriness of the great but dated originals. You can find many screenshots here: GALLERYv2 changes:--------------------------With version 2.0 the mod bomes quite a bit more polished. The watercolor effect on the textures is now a bit smoother, less grainy. Also shapes are more defined now and details like ornaments or face details are now much nicer. The more defined shapes also make the stylized, watercolorish look more noticable from a distance. In the screenshots all this doesnt show very well, but in game the differences should be obvious. The texture sizes are still the same like in the previous version, the performance wont change.Mod compatibility patches:--------------------------To make other mods visually fit with Morrowind Watercolored, you can find a number of patches for other mods on the nexus download page.NOTICE: With v2 the old patches dont fit that well anymore, so they will need to be remade. This might take a while so if your need a patch quickly, feel free to download the patches for the old version in the meanwhile, at the bottom of the downloads list. Many of those patches are made by the kind community members Lucas9 and wildbane. The ESP file format is associated with the Elder Scrolls series of video games, particularly with the game modding community. Elder Scrolls games, such as Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim, use this file format to store game data, including things like world objects, characters, quests, dialogue, textures, sounds, and more.ESP File Format Here is a brief overview of what the .esp file format entails:Extension: .esp stands for “Elder Scrolls Plugin”. It is essentially a plugin file used to extend or modify game’s functionality and content.Content: These files contain data that can be loaded into game to change or add various elements. This could include new items, weapons, armor, characters, quests, locations, graphical enhancements, and much more.Modding: .esp files are commonly used by modders to create custom content for Elder Scrolls games. Modders can use various modding tools and utilities to create and edit these files, adding new content or modifying existing game elements.Compatibility: The .esp format allows for easy integration with game, as these files can be loaded alongside base game content without overwriting or modifying original game files. This makes it possible for players to use multiple mods simultaneously, enhancing their gaming experience.Dependencies: Some .esp files may depend on other mods or resources to function correctly. In such cases, modders usually provide instructions on which files are required for their mods to work properly.Load Order: When using multiple mods, the order in which .esp files are loaded can be crucial to avoid conflicts or unintended behavior. Mod managers or utilities are often used to manage load order of mods to ensure compatibility. How to open ESP file? To open and view the contents of an .esp file, you typically need modding tools or utilities designed for specific game associated with file. Here is a general guide on how to open .esp files for popular Elder Scrolls games like Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim:Morrowind:To open .esp files for Morrowind, you can use Elder Scrolls Construction Set, which is official modding tool provided by Bethesda for Morrowind.Oblivion:For Oblivion, you can use Construction Set as well, similar to Morrowind.Skyrim:Skyrim also has its own official modding tool called Creation Kit.These tools allow you to view and modify the contents of .esp files, including adding new objects, editing existing content, adjusting settings, and more.References Morrowind
