Hi All In preparation for purchasing a 5G Video iPod, I've installed a Belkin F5U220 5 port PCI card, My G4 recognised the new card and everything seemed OK, so as a test I connected a LaCie hard drive to the new card using the supplied high speed USB 2 cable. I dropped a couple of folders into the LaCie only to find the data was being transferred very slowly (USB 1 speed). I've tried installing USB2 drivers, as other threads have suggested, and used the LaCie update tool which reported " Update tool found a drive USB 2.0 Lacie Bigger Disk but there is no update available (the firmware is at v N/A)" so no joy there. I had already planned to install a Firewire 800 PCI card soon, so it isn't a major problem (Although I would like total compatibility for any future USB2 products). But is it likely this card will not work with the new 5G ipod on USB2 but merely transfer at USB1 speed.
