TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) — Republican Vice Presidential nominee JD Vance just wrapped up a rally in Tucson at the Pima County Fairgrounds.JD Vance got off the stage just after 5 p.m. after speaking for about a half hour. At the Pima County Fair Grounds He focused on the economy and the border today given the location of today’s event. He says that Kamala Harris failed at securing the border. He says Trump will finish the wall which was a key part of his first presidential campaign. He spoke about the violence of Mexican drug cartels and says the Trump Administration would do a better job handling the problem.“I just cannot believe that we have gotten to a point where thanks to Kamala Harris’ policies, we’ve turned Mexico into a narco state on our Southern border. The cartels in some ways, are more powerful than the local Mexican authorities, and that is injuring, its killing and it’s making our citizens less safe," Vance said. This is Vance’s third visit to Southern Arizona since being named Donald Trump’s running mate. He was just here in Tucson a couple weeks ago and made a visit to the Mexican border a few weeks before that. We are really entering the final quarter of this election and its clear the attention both sides are giving to garner support from Arizona voters. We’ll just have to wait and see how effective these rallies have been.
