Why do I get results different from other tools? There are few reasons why you get different results using our tool and other tools like ookla speedtest.net, netflix fast.com: Our tool makes upload and download at the same time and continously. Other (non-continuous) tools first make download for about 10 seconds, then upload for another 10 seconds. There can be different speed test results for such different tests. For example, downloading of a file can start with higher speed, but the speed can drop after some time. Such degradations of internet quality are usually not detected by regular non-continuous speed tests. I did an Ookla and a google test. I got it 1.46 download and .20 upload for the google. Then on ookla I got 4.8 download and 0.13 upload.... what happened to my internet? Why is it all of a sudden terrible? I can’t even download small updates to play games with my friends let alone play online if I’m lucky.On my desktop(hardwired) I am getting these low numbers. But on my lab top(wireless)I am getting 325MB/a download and 11.23 upload off both ookla and google. What is wrong with my computer? I don’t do much on the computer besides play games :/ Gotcha, so definitely not an isp issue.To confirm there is nothing wrong with your computer, boot a linux live cd/usb and check speeds there.
