I bought an iPhone 5 and when I tried to connect it to my wifi network it says the password is incorrect ( I know it's correct) I think it´s not my router because my iPad wifi work normally. 2025-03-30Dear Sonos-ers!TLDR;Issue; “Incorrect password” for wifi set up even though you enter the right password.Fix; “Incorrect password” → Factory reset → Ethernet to router → create new router password for network on router → set up speaker again with Ethernet still in → “create wifi network” via app → Enter your new router created password → should work!I am creating this as hopefully my first and last post on this community thread.=============================================I have spent the last 2 hours troubleshooting this issue, so creating this in the hope that this helps you further. Hopefully this will improve my karma!I went to sleep last night with the Sonos One speaker working perfectly, with a smile in the corner of my mouth. Waking up, the Speaker was essentially a brick, went through the “whats wrong” troubleshooting several times via the app to no positive effect.Then, I eventually got the “enter your wifi” option, entered my password, and got “password is incorrect”. I thought I might have missed a character, then realized no, I wasn’t at fault here. I even used “forget network” on my phone to make sure the password did work.So I went to the extreme of connecting the sonos via Ethernet(digging through several drawers) and connected and…. yes it sprung back to life!I was so puzzled, the wifi was not working, but the Ethernet was. So I searched this, and went through several threads, filled with raging sonos users, and others using the classic “have you turned it on/off” trick. So finally, I logged onto my router, changed the password on it for the entire network .Then, I factory resetted the Sonos One (steps in other articles), Ethernetted the speaker again, and then via the app, I used the “create wifi network” option. 2025-04-04Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. I reset my ssd and reinstalled MacOS yosemite on my computer and i'm trying to get monterey from the app store but it won't let me log in to my apple ID. It says incorrect ID or password but when I type it in I still get a message on my phone giving me the code even though it says incorrect ID or password on my computer. When I press forgot password and try to reset it, the site just stays stuck on the loading screen after I type in the human test letters. How do I fix this? PS4 / IOS devices fail to connect to RE's Wi-Fi network or failed to get an IP address Troubleshooting Tips Note: TP-Link range extender will use the same Wi-Fi password as the router after being configured successfully. When connecting to the Wi-Fi of extender, you should put in the router’s Wi-Fi password. Case 1: RE Signal Led/ 2.4G or 5G Wi-Fi Led are OFF, and wireless clients won’t accept the router password. RE LED OFF indicates that the extender has not connected to the router yet. If the Wi-Fi extender says incorrect password, then the password given to the extender may be incorrect. 1.
