The filter over the new sensors is so good that it cuts out most of the ir light. This is good for normal photographs, but not so for ir. So I just read a review about a new 12MP camera, the Fugi S3 UVIR, which is a dedicated camera for ultraviolet and infrared photography. Looks promising and thought that it might be a good solution to getting back into ir photography with a high MP count and be able to use all my Nikon lenses. The reviews also talk about a "Live Preview", not sure how that works. Here's a couple links to the camera: found a little info on the camera in the fugii forum but wondered what the Nikon forum thought about it. Is there another solution to buying this $1700 camera. I do see that BH has it in stock. I would just be using it artistically and not solving crimes! Although that could be interesting... In this tutorial, we will develop AWS Simple Storage Service (S3) together with Spring Boot Rest API service to download the file from AWS S3 Bucket. Amazon S3 Tutorial : Create Bucket on Amazon S3 Generate Credentials to access AWS S3 Bucket Spring Boot + AWS S3 Upload File Spring Boot + AWS S3 List Bucket Files Spring Boot + AWS S3 Download Bucket File Spring Boot + AWS S3 Delete Bucket File AWS S3 Interview Questions and Answers What is S3? Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) is an object storage service that provides industry-leading scalability, data availability, security, and performance. The service can be used as online backup and archiving of data and applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS Core S3 Concepts In 2006, S3 was one of the first services provided by AWS. Many features have been introduced since then, but the core principles of S3 remain Buckets and Objects. AWS BucketsBuckets are containers for objects that we choose to store. It is necessary to remember that S3 allows the bucket name to be globally unique. AWS ObjectsObjects are the actual items that we store in S3. They are marked by a key, which is a sequence of Unicode characters with a maximum length of 1,024 bytes in UTF-8 encoding. Prerequisites First Create Bucket on Amazon S3 and then Generate Credentials(accessKey and secretKey) to access AWS S3 bucket Take a look at our suggested posts: Let's start developing AWS S3 + Spring Boot application. This enables us to show the command's output without actually running it.Copied!aws s3 sync . s3://YOUR_BUCKET --dryrunYou might be wondering what would happen if the bucket contains a file with the same name and path as a file in the local folder. The s3 sync command copies the objects from the local folder to thedestination bucket, if:the size of the objects differs.the last modified time of the source is newer than the last modified time ofthe destination.the S3 object doesn't exist under the specified prefix in the destinationbucket. This means that if we had a document.pdf file in both the local directory andthe destination bucket, it would only get copied if:the size of the document differs.the last modified time of the document in the local directory is newer thanthe last modified time of the document in the destination bucket. To copy a local folder to a specific folder in an S3 bucket, run the s3 synccommand, passing in the source directory and the full bucket path, including thedirectory name. The following command copies the contents of the current folder to a my-folderdirectory in the S3 bucket.Copied!aws s3 sync . s3://YOUR_BUCKET/my-folder/The output shows that example.txt was copied tobucket/my-folder/example.txt.# Table of ContentsCopy all files between S3 Buckets with AWS CLICopy Files under a specific Path between S3 BucketsFiltering which Files to Copy between S3 BucketsExclude multiple Folders with AWS S3 Sync# Copying all files between S3 Buckets with AWS CLITo copy files between S3 buckets with the AWS CLI, run the s3 sync command, passing in the names of the source and destination paths of the two buckets. Soto S3 TransferMake uploading and downloading of files to AWS S3 easy.SetupSoto S3 Transfer uses the Soto Swift SDK for AWS. You need to create a Soto S3 service object before you can use the S3 transfer manager. See Soto documentation for more guidance. You also need to supply the threadPoolProvider parameter which indicates where Soto S3 Transfer will get threads from to run the file loading and saving.let client = AWSClient()let s3 = S3(client: client, region: .euwest1)let s3FileTransfer = S3FileTransferManager(s3: s3)Upload to S3Uploading files to S3 is done with one call.try await s3FileTransfer.copy( from: "/Users/me/images/test.jpg", to: S3File(url: "s3://my-bucket/test.jpg")!)You can also upload a folder as followstry await s3FileTransfer.copy( from: "/Users/me/images/", to: S3Folder(url: "s3://my-bucket/images/")!)If you are uploading a folder multiple files will be uploaded in parallel. The number of upload tasks running concurrently defaults to 4 but you can control this by setting maxConcurrentTasks in the Configuration you supply to the initialization of S3FileTransferManager.let s3Transfer = S3FileTransferManager( s3: s3, configuration: .init(maxConcurrentTasks: 8))Download from S3Download is as simple as upload just swap the parameters aroundtry await s3FileTransfer.copy( from: S3File(url: "s3://my-bucket/test.jpg")!, to: "/Users/me/images/test.jpg")try await s3FileTransfer.copy( from: S3Folder(url: "s3://my-bucket/images/")!, to: "/Users/me/downloads/images/")Copy from one S3 bucket to anotherYou can also copy from one S3 bucket to another by supplying two S3Files or two S3Folderstry await s3FileTransfer.copy( from: S3File(url: "s3://my-bucket/test2.jpg")!, to: S3File(url: "s3://my-bucket/test.jpg")!)try await s3FileTransfer.copy( from: S3Folder(url: "s3://my-bucket/images/")!, to: S3Folder(url: "s3://my-other-bucket/images/")!))Sync operationsThere are sync versions of these operations as well. This will only copy files across if they are newer than the existing files. You can also have it delete files in the target folder if they don't exist in the source folder.try await s3FileTransfer.sync( from: "/Users/me/images/", to: S3Folder(url: "s3://my-bucket/images")!, delete: true)try await s3FileTransfer.sync( from: S3Folder(url: "s3://my-bucket/images")!, to: "/Users/me/downloads/images/", delete: false)Multipart uploadIf uploads are above a certain size then the transfer manager will use multipart upload to upload the file to S3. You can control what this threshold is and the multipart part sizes by supplying a configuration at initialization of the manager. If you don't supply a configuration both of these values are set to 8MB.let s3Transfer = S3FileTransferManager( s3: s3, configuration: .init(multipartThreshold: 16*1024*1024, multipartPartSize: 16*1024*1024))
