I've set up NextPVR on my Linux box and I need to punch some holes in the firewall for it. The obvious port to open was tcp port 8866 (as I wish to access/control NextPVR from other machines on the network). After a bit of experimenting and googling, I also found out that udp port 16891 was needed for the Android/IOS app for NextPVR discovery. Indeed, running 'sudo ss -tulpn' lists all the listening ports on my machine, from which I notice that the NextPVR process is also listening on udp port 1901. Search as I might, I cannot find any info on this, so my question is, what does NextPVR use port 1901 for and have I missed any other ports it may use? Many thanksMark sub Offline Administrator NextPVR HQ, New Zealand Posts: 106,517 Threads: 767 Joined: Nov 2003 Port 1901 is used for SAT>IP tuner discovery. You are using an out of date browser. It may not display this or other websites correctly. You should upgrade or use an alternative browser. Hi guys. I was wondering if there was an official PC version of either VF 1, VF 2, VF 3, or VF 4? I'd like to b able to play them(particularly part 4) on my laptop. noodalls Well-Known Member Bronze Supporter There are ports of VF1 and VF2. No ports of VF3 or 4. ^That's odd....never heard about that. Where can I get those two titles for my PC? You probably can't find them anymore, besides PC stores which carry old, inexpensive titles. but yeah, there's a SegaPC brand which Sega used to port Sega Saturn titles with, and VF Remix and VF2 were both ported over, along with stuff like Daytona, Sonic 3D Blast, Virtual On, Sega Touring Car Championship, etc. They were ports of the Saturn versions, though, not the arcades, so they weren't arcade perfect, but they DID run at a higher resolution than the Saturn ports. So my VF2 PC game is not the arcade version?! WTF why am I always getting ripped off I have both the Vf1 anf Vf2 PC ports. However, the VF1 is a bit problematic, cause when i bought it I had a pentium 1 100, which is the kind of system it was designed for. However now on my XP2000+ it runs waaaaay too fast. VF2 is really good, but you need a DirectX patch for it to play properly, and some of the backgrounds are not rendered properly. You prolly better off trying to buy an old saturn instead /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif You can play on PC:- Virtua Fighter- Virtua Fighter Remix- Virtua Fighter 2- Virtua Fighter 2.1- Virtua Fighter 3tb- Virtua Fighter KidsIf you use MAME v0.96 and can get proper ROMs. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gifBTW: MAME can work under Win9x/WinXP/DOS/Linux/Dreamcast and on same new Nokia and Motorola mobiles /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif ...um....just so people don't get too excited. These aren't properly working in MAME so you really can't *play* them on your PC. still a bit of a kick toI want to find my TCP port and UDP port. - qBittorrent
If you want just to run it without installing it on your computer, simply choose Portable after launching the tool. The downloaded software package comes with both installation and portable versions. It works on Windows from XP up to Windows 7 and 8.1, both 32-bit and 64-bit. Not only that, it also allows you to remote shutdown or wakes up any PCs found on the network.Īdvanced Port Scanner is my go-to tool whenever I need to run to find any open ports on a particular computer. The software scans ports of network computers and finds any open well-known TCP ports, as well as their computer names and MAC addresses. With Advanced Port Scanner, you can scan hundreds of IP addresses simultaneously at high speed. There are free yet powerful network scanner tools made just for that purpose. But it’s not necessary to have such a beast to accomplish a simple job such as finding out the open ports on the computers on the same local network. When it comes to network scanning, you may think of those very costly commercial products that not much people can afford..
