The second entry in Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, will soon be arriving on PC, and if you’re wondering how it compares to the existing PS5 version, read ahead. According to Square Enix, the PC version of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth brings adjustments to lighting, and the game’s overall rendering of light has significantly been improved. Additionally, the LoD for background models and MIP maps for background textures can both be freely configured in the options settings. As such, the background polygon density and texture density can be set higher on PC than in the PS5 version, allowing for more detailed visuals. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PS5 vs PC Graphics Comparison A screenshot comparison (via 1, 2, 3) between the PS5 (top) and PC (bottom) versions of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth can be seen below. As seen in the screenshots above, the lighting system has indeed seen a notable improvement in the PC version of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
