2025-04-23Dive on one topic related to Exploding Rabbit or gamedev, and then we will have a few smaller, supplementary topics like what games we’re playing, what I’ve been working on, and anything else we find interesting.I’m co-hosting the podcast with my cousin, Matt Gyure, Â a very smart/funny guy that knows his way around code and other technical parts of gamedev. Matt knew I was trying to figure out a good way to keep people informed about Exploding Rabbit and recommended doing the podcast with me, so you can thank him.The focus of the first episode is how I started Super Mario Bros. Crossover and what it was like working on it in the early days. It was just meant to be a test episode, but it turned out so well that we decided to release it.Matt and I are very excited about where this thing will go. We’re open to feedback so let us know what you’re interested in and what you’d like us to change. You can listen on iTunes, Â Google Play, Â Stitcher, or at the podcast’s website. 2025-04-02A trailer released recently for the upcoming 3.0 update to the Super Mario Bros. Crossover Flash game shows off a new set of levels culled from an obscure Super Mario Bros. port. Super Mario Bros. Special was released by Hudson Soft in 1986 for a series of Japanese PCs, according to the Super Mario Wiki. The game differs from the original Super Mario Bros. in several ways, including the screen’s inability to scroll as Nintendo’s Italian hero moves through levels. The Super Mario Bros. Crossover developers at Exploding Rabbit hope to have the 3.0 update, which will also include new enemies, skins and difficulty levels, released in May or June, according to a post on the developer’s website.Super Mario Bros. Crossover was released three years ago. Developed by Jay Pavlina and Zach Robinson, the remake of the original NES version of Super Mario Bros. allows you to play as characters like Mega Man and Samus, and adds cheats, new modes of play and more. You can check out the 3.0 trailer above and play the current version on the official Super Mario Bros. Crossover website.
