100–300 ms, allowing the compressor to reset between notes without stifling sustain and decay.Neutron’s multiband compressor works a little differently than most. It provides a Learn feature that intelligently sets the crossover frequencies for you. At that point, you just need to select a compression mode: Punch, Modern, or Vintage. From there, you can tweak the Ratio, Attack, and Release settings to taste. 6. Mid/side bus compressionThe mid/side technology found in many Brainworx plugins allows you to independently process the center and sides of your stereo image. For example, the elysia alpha compressor is a master bus compressor with mid/side functionality. If the drums in the center of your stereo image appear to jump out of the mix, you can apply gentle peak compression to the center of the mix, leaving the sides unaffected; this can help prevent noticeable pumping effects. You can apply the same concept to compressing the sides of your mix. Perhaps there’s a stereo recording of a plucked guitar panned hard left and right. Target these transients while leaving centered elements, like lead vocals, unaffected. The elysia alpha compressor includes an M/S Mode that is toggled on by default. You’ll need to deactivate Channel Link to affect the mids and sides separately. White Sea Studio is a big fan of the alpha compressor and dives deep into the plugin’s features in the following video. Buy elysia alpha compressorIt’s usually best to apply dynamics processing at an individual track level or bus level, but this isn’t always possible. Sometimes,

In the life of a true leaping, mean, green plant-chewing machine. A lot of people have mentioned this...I get so paranoid about the PL! I have a few others I want to try.Oh Limiter 6 is really good, but it kinda forces me to use too much of its features! End up making it loud in all the wrong ways. #15 I know you were asking about a UA DSP solution, what about the Elysia Alpha? The best mastering plug I've found is Dynamic Spectrum Mapper V2 from Plug In Alliance.A couple of cons:1: It's pricey.2: It's not UA DSP.A couple of Pros:1: Plug In Alliance makes it... Same guys that make the Elysia and bx stuff.2: There is already a DSP version of it (AAX).3: It by far is the best mastering solution I have found, and I've used Ozone since RTAS and V3, currently on V5.4: Very light on the CPU. Much less than Ozone. What I do for mastering is use DSM on the mix buss and go 24bit 96k to a stereo wave. Then I'll do a mastering session with Ozone 5 and just use the Dithering set for MBIT+ and Normal level set for 16 bit.I follow that with the Elysia Alpha set so it just grabs any peaks from the bit reduction and a touch of soft clip. The result is loud and very clean. #16 yeah ideally i'm looking for UA stuff as i've just invested in an octo and various plugs, and just starting to get into them so the idea of spending more money on anything else right now isn't filling me with excitement. i could still carry on using the L2 as that's been working for me for a long time, but obviously having had a taste of what UA is capable of which

While I love the Transient Designer on Drums and basic instruments, on Vocals it kinda fades to nothing Vs the Elysia Nvelope, again just my humble opine! The Transient Designer and Elysia Nvelope are two common ideas with one taken to an ADRS type envelope extreme in my books!TLB Gear Maniac Joined: Oct 2009 🎧 15 years Quote: Originally Posted by Oden ➡️ Also, you may want to consider going the transient designer route. (yes I pulled the 7ms out of my butt, but I think it's a fairly good line).. Also, this is an excellent idea. If I get any decent results I'll post them back. IMHO the Transient Designer Hardware and the Software might as well be 2 worlds apart on the Transient Designer scale, also the Elysia Nvelope is not available as a plug in yet, though I'm sure it will happen. I think you should try a Triangle wave alongside the square wave as often this Triangle wave represents the Synth type arpeggiater like sounds just as well as a square wave in which to compress. The square wave in a low frequency can mean long gaps where as the triangle might be more consistent. Try Both/Many Variations? Gear Maniac Joined: Oct 2009 🎧. How to say Elysia in English?
