IMHO the Transient Designer Hardware and the Software might as well be 2 worlds apart on the Transient Designer scale, also the Elysia Nvelope is not available as a plug in yet, though I'm sure it will happen. I think you should try a Triangle wave alongside the square wave as often this Triangle wave represents the Synth type arpeggiater like sounds just as well as a square wave in which to compress.
