You can also flash the BIOS for all AMD Radeon RX Vega, RX 580, RX 480, and all older ATI cards. The AMDVBFlash BIOS update software runs under Windows.AMD has changed the behavior of AMDVBFlash in newer versions. It now requires a constant running Ring-0 kernel-mode driver. This is a security risk, you really only need the driver for a few minutes while saving the BIOS or flashing. That's why AMDVBFlash 3.15 and newer include AMDVBFlashDriverInstaller.exe, which installs/uninstalls the AMD driver with one click. This software was written by us at TPU and is signed digitally with our signature.ATI BIOS Editor 2.7

#1 ATI FireGL X3-256 BIOS - UPDATEDI have a FireGL-X3, but with a CRC error in the BIOS. I'm not sure what/where the problem is. The card came with this error! I'm trying to fix it but need some help. Could someone please post or email an original copy of the FireGL-X3 BIOS? I looked carefully at the BIOS currently online but it does not seem to be a legitimate version. I think it is an X800PRO -> FireGL X3 hack BIOS, since the "ports" and "connectors" settings are all wrong for a true 2x DVI and dual-link.I very much appreciate anyone who can help out. (ATI themselves refused to help! Idiotic customer service ) Last edited: Sep 14, 2006 #2 If nobody answer you with the BIOS image I can help you with modding the connector layout from 1xVGA/1xDVI to 2xDVI on the existing FireGL X3 BIOS in the BIOS collection. Let me know if you need my help. #3 Thanks for the offer of help FYI my existing BIOS shows the following:Ver 9.003.000.000P/N 113-xxx-xxx-xxCore 475MHZMemory 500MHZAccording to RaBiT BIOS Tuner, the flags for TV, DVI and VIVO are all set. However, to my knowledge X3-256T has non VIVO since there is no theatre chip, and has no TV, since it supposed to have stereographics output. There are CRC errors. I'm convinced the BIOS is problematic. Either the wrong BIOS for this card, and/or hacked by previous owner ;-) Anyone with an original X3-256 BIOS, please post it!!! 2025-04-09Hi All, Just thought I'd pop this up here for anyone who is experiencing the issue where the second adapter is showing as disabled and you can't enable crossfire. To fix: 1. Download GPUZ & ATI WinFlash GPUZ- ATI Winflash - 2. Extract ATI winflash to a folder that you can easily navigate to 3. Open GPUZ and go to the second adapter (there is a selector down the bottom). The second adapter should have a BIOS version ending in BR44966.006 If you have something different I'm not sure if this would work for you so probably best not to proceed. 4. Click the little microchip next to the bios version and select save to file 5. Save the bios into the ATI winflash folder with a name that you can easily remember. 6. Open command prompt as administrator Press the start key Type cmd Right click on the command prompt icon which should should now be on the right and open as administrator 7. Navigate to the ATI winflash folder 8. Type this in the command prompt: atiwinflash -f -p 0 the romname is whatever you saved it as, it should always end in .rom 9. ATI winflash will pop up and have a blue progress bar, this can take around a minute to complete. 10. Once done it should popup with a confirmation, it'll say that it has been flashed the new rom, old one should say discrete, new one should say crossfire. 11. Restart your PC 12 Open the catalyst control center and the cross-fire option should be enabled Hope that helps someone out, I know that it drove me crazy!
