Adobe Forms Central - Adobe Community -

I just purchased FormsCentral and it is perfect for what I need.... but then I saw this when I was looking for more information through Acrobat Help::--------------------------------How long can I keep using the Adobe FormsCentral desktop app included with Acrobat Pro XI? You can continue to use the Adobe FormsCentral desktop app in the near term. Beginning June 23 2015, you will be able to use the app to create and save new PDF forms, but you won’t be able to go online and collect data. When you upgrade to the next generation of Acrobat, the Adobe FormsCentral desktop app will be uninstalled completely.-------------------------------It's not like that information was even close to being in the forefront when I paid for it. I can't believe this product would still even be for sale if it will just be erased. I have Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, and am seeing a message that Acrobat Pro DC is now available and that I can upgrade now....My questions: Does this upgrade qualify as "the next generation" and if so, will I lose Forms Central if I upgrade? If it does...Do upDATES count as upgrades? Thanks... Forms Central has been discontinued by Adobe. Replaced with Adobe Experience Manager / Forms (AEM Forms) - Play Store) on November 18, 2010. J.P. Terry is an Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) and an Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI) in the following Adobe technologies: Adobe AEM Forms, Adobe AEM Administration, and Adobe AEM Development. J.P. has trained thousands of students and sold tens of thousands of Adobe Press books. Mr. Terry is a recognized authority and he represents Adobe each year by teaching AEM Forms at the Adobe Summit conference. J.P. works directly with the Adobe AEM Forms Product Engineering team to deliver students accurate product information in an engaging way. And, because he is also an AEM developer, J.P. will show you the best practices for design, development, and AEM Administration. J.P. is the author of the best-selling Adobe Press books on Adobe forms including these: Adobe LiveCycle Designer: 2nd Edition (2013) Paperless: Real-World Solutions with Adobe Technology (2010) Creating Dynamic Forms with Adobe LiveCycle Designer (2007) IRS Master Form Components After providing mobile forms development training to the IRS in the spring of 2024, J.P. became a provisional employee of the IRS in August, 2024. Upon arrival J.P. learned the internal process of creating mobile forms was labor-intensive and inefficient. Each IRS form was developed independently, with common fields such as Social Security Numbers (SSN), Employer Identification Numbers (EIN), US ZIP codes, and phone numbers being recreated from scratch in every instance and on every form. This approach resulted in significant redundancy and inconsistency. The lack of standardized components meant that each form developer had to manually design and implement these fields, leading to a wide range of formats, styles, and interpretations. Consequently, the quality of the forms varied, there was very little data validation, and the process consumed a considerable amount of time and resources. J.P. created the first ever set of modular, reusable, form field components. The business rules and data validations for the standard components were already in place at the IRS, and many dedicated employees helped J.P. understand the intricate IRS requirements. However, it was J.P. who took the lead in designing and programming these components to ensure they were modular and reusable. By deeply understanding the existing rules and validations, J.P. was able to create components that seamlessly integrated into the IRS's workflow, providing a consistent and reliable framework for all form authors. This innovative approach not only preserved the integrity of the IRS's established standards but also enhanced the efficiency and quality of the form development process,
