Post by annadyne » Fri Apr 10, 2020 9:08 pm Hi -Just adding to this - Blackhole is a great working alternative to Soundflower. been working great to get Gleetchlab into Live 10.1.x I'm on Mac OsX El Capitan 10.11.6.And YES if you already have Logic, you should be able to get its sound into Live without Mainstage.Using Blackhole, if you can't get Soundflower to work. Also YES there's an option to turn off Live as Rewire Master - but you have to stick it in an options.txt message in the Live Preferences folder on your system. I saw a video that showed some info on how to send MIDI to Mainstage from Live, it seemed fairly easy but I’d need to find some things and install and what have you. Ideally I’d want Logic/Mainstage to function as a VST/AU inside Live, but it doesn’t seem you can get that functionality as simple as using NI or Reason or something similar. Mjwalker Posts: 39 Joined: Tue Jan 04, 2011 6:28 pm Seeking an Alternative to Waves Vocal Rider Plugin Hello! As the title suggests, I'm looking for an alternative to the Waves Vocal Rider plugin. It automatically adjusts the vocal volume fader in relation to the music, and apparently works very nicely. Unfortunately, the side-chaining feature of the Vocal Rider isn't supported by Ableton's side-chaining function, so it won't work properly.Does anyone know a similar vocal plugin that would do the trick? I'm not really sure. I know it's compatible with Pro Tools, but not Ableton.I checked out the link - thank you! It actually mentions that it's made for Pro Tools though. Do you know that it works for Ableton?Also - Vocal Rider still functions on Ableton to adjust the levels of the vocal, but it doesn't adjust them relative to the music track, which is what I'm searching for. The "Wave Rider" doesn't appear to mention the feature. Compressor it is like "your finger is always on volume fader".I mostly use it when i watch horror movies rather than mixes.(Though I can see it can be useful in some scenarios.)
