Both games contained a ton of important plot elements that are essential to the mainline series and can now only be experienced on YouTube. It's possible that they'll be added to Missing Link, but there's been no word from Square Enix just yet. Kingdom Hearts Unchained X and Dark Road have both been suddenly delisted from App Stores, meaning the best way to experience their story is now through YouTube videos. The Kingdom Hearts series has always had a bit of a reputation for its "spin-off" games like Re:Coded, Chain of Memories, and Birth by Sleep being essential parts of the mainline series' plot. While I think that's overblown and that there aren't really any "spin-off" games anyway, that point is dampened a bit by the mobile games. Related Both Unchained X (previously known as Union X) and Dark Road contain a ton of important plot elements that you previously had to trudge through a bunch of gacha nonsense to reach. Mercifully, that was later changed as both games were bundled together and turned into one big cutscene compilation, finally giving fans a way to play without getting sucked into rolls. Looks like that isn't the case anymore. Kingdom Hearts Mobile Games Have Been Delisted As pointed out by Twitter user KHDatabase, Kingdom Hearts Unchained X/Dark Road has been removed from app stores on Apple and Samsung devices. The website for the bundle is still online and has all of the links in place, but all of them appear to be broken right now. I've tried to search for Unchained X/Dark Road on my iPhone, but can't find it anywhere. If you've downloaded Unchained X/ Dark Road in the past, then you can still download it from the Android Store. Better get that done fast before it's wiped from the ether. Square Enix hasn't officially announced that the apps are being delisted, so it comes as a bit of a shock. Considering how important Unchained X is to the rest of the series (with Strelitzia confirmed for Kingdom Hearts 4) it's a little wild to think her story can now only be experienced in 11-hour YouTube videos or through fan dubs. I'm trying to beat the story of this game before KH 2.8 comes out, and the story just drags on and on with nothing happening! Currently in the 200s, I caught wind of levels going up to at least level 500, which is already ridiculous, but I haven't found any actual information about its actual length. Does anyone here know?The story is still ongoing, even in Japan, which is in the 600s, so it'll probably be a while before it ends.If anything, you can look at how long Kingdom Hearts X (not Unchained), the browser game, was, but even that one was vastly different than Unchained.firemacxl (Topic Creator)8 years ago#3Still ongoing? That's odd. I figured it would be over with the whole cinematic being bundled with 2.8. Hmm, knowing this information, I may back down from my intense playing of the game then.I've also wondered how that's going to work. But maybe it won't tell the full story (it is only from the Foretellers' perspectives after all).It's an ongoing game that will continue to have story updates for a long time. Even though Browser X has a definite end, Unchained X is supposed to branch off and continue past Browser's ending, and even JP hasn't reached that point in UX yet (Castle of Dreams is new compared to Browser, but JP hasn't reached the Battle at the Keyblade Graveyard yet), so it'll be a much longer wait for us playing the INT version. Put in perspective, we're getting missions involving Skuld in January for the next update. JP is well past that. Unless SENA speeds them up, we'll be half-a-year to a full year behind story-wise.In Short, keep an eye on JP updates (Khinsider.com is a great place to do so). Japan already started into the second story back in October.Oh, and you do not even start into the real story til at least quest 300.I actually stopped playing both versions and probably don't plan to resume. The game becomes boring and repetitive very quick.
